The Janitors' Closet

A sponge can only soak up so much,

Then it must be squeezed out, wrung out so to speak.

Folks, that's what we as Christians are about,

Soaking it up, wringing it out.

Then we need to soak up some more.

If not we just dry up and become hard,

Like a sponge left out of the water.

Where are we at in our walk with Christ?

Are we soaking .being squeezed, or dried out?

Too many are either soaking all the time

Or dried…

If we believe in only "half-truths" of the bible

Instead of standing on the Solid Rock

We are jumping from stone to stone

To keep from getting "off the path"

Our walk with God is not meant to be this way

Our path should be as a solid rock

Not stepping stones.

Peanut butter in a glass jar,

Dip it out with a butter knife,

Spread it on a slice of bread

By itself or with grape jelly

Or maybe on a saltine cracker

Soon I was scraping the sides

For that last little bit.

All gone, an empty jar,

But unlike today, not thrown away

But saved, washed, and used

As a vessel to drink from.

Milk at breakfast

My Nephew and niece bought me this computor

To which I store the material I write, such as this.

There are many, many functions

That it will do, of which many

Would benefit me much

But I do not know how to access them.

You see I'm an old guy with no computor training.

Being a Christian is much the same.

The fullness of jesus we have dwelling within us,

And we usually only "tap" into
