Hi Tom,

Yes, I agree that it is a very difficult subject and Christians will do themselves a favour to not deny science and especially not to pit Christian believe as opposed to it.  However, although I don;t personally believe in a young earth, I do believe that , just as Adam and Eve were born with an age it seems logical that the earth would be created with one as well. Also we need to remember that the six days of creation as detailed in Genesis is not a scientific account and therefore should not be treated as one. Who is to say that there is not a couple of billion years between the first sentence and the second.
