We are heading to see my husband's parents this weekend.  They are elderly and in poor health.  Yet they continue to want to live in their own home, which the way it is--is not the safest.  They also…Continue

Leap year snowstorm--

"We thought that snowstorm was a surprise.  On March 17 it was 80 in northern Wisconsin and I was out with shorts.  Also had the ceiling fan on last night.  I wonder what other kind of weather surprises God has in store for us this…"

Hello to all

Good afternoon to all,    I decided to send everyone an update on what we have been doing.  We are continually experiencing God's grace and healing after the death of my husband's mother and we are still hoping that his dad will receive the gift of grace and love offered by our Lord Jesus.  My son pointed out to me that on Good Friday it will be four months since she went to be with Jesus and we are so thankful for our Savior's love and sacrifice, that we will one day be with her and all the…See More

Leap year snowstorm--

"On Feb 29, 2012 we had over a foot of heavy wet snow and also woke up to 35-40 mile per hour winds.  Kids had a day off from school.  Thought that those who do not live where there is snow might like to see this."

Prayers for our family

Good Evening Everyone,   I am asking for prayers for our family.   My mother-in-law is very close to going home to be with Jesus.  She is in a nursing home and has a urinary tract infection which she can no longer fight.  We spent Christmas Eve with her and New Year's Eve.  We watched her go down hill quite rapidly.  She is a Christian and knows Jesus.  My father-in-law is not.  There has been no funeral planning done.  On Sat. my husband's father asked him about it.  So we will be arranging…See More

I remember dealing with that with my mom when she moved into the nursing home. I learned right away that a lot of the time i was only getting her side of the story and she started telling us things that she thought help her to get her way. I had discusions with staff members and it was all worked out. God love our parents!!!!!

Lord, you are flawless, having never committed a sin and yet you was willing to accept the cross and everything that the cross stood for and you used your flesh and blood to wash away our sin’s!

Lord, we thank you for stepping in and allowing everyone involved to see how important it was to have Sandy’s mother-in-law move into a nursing home where she will receive the care that she needs to make a full recovery. Lord I lift up the staff at the nursing home and ask that you soften their hearts and help them to see the love and respect the elderly need every day to help them feel at home. Lord, I pray that you make her mother-in-law feel so welcomed and at home that she will accept her new surroundings and be happy and be able to live out the rest of her life worry free.

Lord, I lift up Sandy and her husband and ask that you help to make their trip to Arizona a reality and a safe trip.

Romans 12: 1-2 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Lord, we pray this in your precious name! AMEN

I found it very hard to watch my parents get the age that they struggled with theit independence. I lost my father 11 years ago to cancer plus he had alzheimers. My mom past away two years ago. I found it amazing how the parents becomes the child and the child becomes the parent. I will continue to pray for you and your family

Sandy, thank you for caring. It's just been going on so long I feel worn out. I have placed this wall of protection around my heart and I pray every day for God not to let me become bitter or hardened. I think that work and financial struggles have weakened my resolve. My husband was never physically abusive to me or my children just verbally abusive towards me which is a point of contention because he thinks that my kids are fine and I'm the only one feeling the way I do. Kids are way more astute and aware then he gives them credit for and he becomes angry and berates me for feeling anything and that I should never be sad in front of my kids because this is between me and him. I've never told them any of the things he's said to me, they would hate him, I've lived with all of his dirty little secrets alone never shared things he's said with anyone because I don't want people to hate him and its hard to live with. They don't even know about second woman, I've kept the weight of it all to myself. Anyway I'm just venting and spitting the poison out but it has taken a toll. Now all the sudden all he wants to do is talk about Christ and the bible and how much he loves his Lord and I listen and I can tell you that it is the Holy Spirit not me who answers him at times cause all I want to do is scream "what would Jesus do? STOP TALKING!" I'm a mess but Gods love and grace are bigger than my mess. Thanks for listening. Love in Him Renèe
