Ok so you've got this God in three persons. He is a God of Love, he is a God that is supremely powerful and also supremely creative. He is also a God who believes in relationship and loves to be worshipped, adored and glorified. He decides to…

I am not trying to be facitious, so bear with me. Why would He create the angels, knowing that some were going to fall? If I learned one thing from reading The Shack, is that He believes in free will. And maybe, since He does know all, and knew…

A question concerning the tree in the garden of Eden

Thumbnail
Hey guys, I was reading a chapter on evolution vs. creationism yesterday in The Reason For God and while I have my personal opinions on that, I felt led to read Genesis chapter 2 about God's creation of man... My question is why would an all knowing, all powerful God who would know the future and understand in advance all things that would happen purposefully put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden and tell Adam and Eve to not partake from it when he knew that they…See More

One Thing I Ask

If there is one question that you could ask God - what would you ask? Or if there was one question that you could get an answer to what would it be? My experience is that God does answer questions - but mainly He uses other believers to do that.See More

Thanks for the comments. Dropping the pc off at a shop today and praying that it is as minor a repair as the guy has led me to belive. The world has become all too happy to just throw things away and this is not always the answer. I want to upgrade…

Hey Michelle, I will definitely be praying for you, I think that anytime we substitute God with people we are just setting ourselves up for heartache and disappointment. Granted we all need people, but we cannot take the place of God in each others…

Family is busy, and for some, rather uncaring of the damage that they do. I am not so good at letting go of the pain. Also, computer problems at home and those frive me absolutely buggy. Got some kind of virus, so mom and I have been at each other.

Thanks for the comments. Dropping the pc off at a shop today and praying that it is as minor a repair as the guy has led me to belive. The world has become all too happy to just throw things away and this is not always the answer. I want to upgrade different things, but it doesn't need to be considered garbage. This type of thinking has led to so many of the problems today.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Won't be able to check in until late next week. Emails will probably be insane by that point. Take care.

I read your post about having found someone and now they are out of your life. I know this is hard, and will be praying for you for peace of mind and guidance for the next step.

Thanks for asking, Joshua! Plans are getting in place for the Memorial weekend. THis time, my in laws have my kids for the weekend so my husband and I will be alone. Also, there are shopping and other things for the summer as my children are going to spend a month with my parents. I did that when i was their age too. A lot of extra activities are going on right now. HOw about you? How are you doin'?

In the winter, I get up between 515 and 530 to get the fire going (we heat with wood) and get my niece up and get ready for work. Some days this might be earlier due to weather. In the summer, I get up at 6 and get to work, get out at 5 and it takes about 45 minutes to get home. I can then work in the gardens, or in the yard (about an acre and a half to mow!), and get to bed between 9 and 10. Weekends are the killers, though, as I am here all day and try to do to much. And tomorrow we start painting again!

It is rewarding, and so cool to see all the pumpkins and squashes growing. also, I think our canned food tastes better, and to have so many veggies canned, and soups and stuff, gives more money for meat. Though we do have an order in with our Amish neighbors for chicken and it is so much better than what is in the stores. We had talked about getting a couple of pigs around for the summer and fattening them up for the freezer this winter. Beef would just be too hard for mom and I, so we catch sales at the stores for that.

I don't know about relaxing as it is over an acre of gardens, but it is rewarding and makes us a little more self reliant. We don't have to rely on food shopping so much when we grown our own. Plus this summer, we will still have quite a bit of house painting to do. Busy, busy!

I am glad that things are getting to a better place for you. I know how hard it is to be single when having been part of a pair for a while. Things are busy for me, they are never anything but. Painting the house now that the construction is done and getting ready to put in my summer gardens. Got to grow lots to can lots!
