Like i told my wife, it is not our job to judge and if someone is standing there just to make a quick buck and we give to them, them we have done our job according to God and God will deal with them in his own way

It brings me joy to hear how God is working in your life! I think we need to concider the fact that every new person we meet could very well be God! Like i said before in a discussion i started, What if the homeless person, or the single mom holding a sign asking for money to support her children, or a Vet say will work for food is God and we walk away from them.

Matthew 25:35-40

New International Version (NIV)

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Lord, there is no other like you and Lord you have everything under your control. Lord we thank you for all the blessing that you give to us and Lord we thank you for your love and support.

Lord, I lift up Ellen’s brother-in-law to you and ask that you place your healing hands around him and comfort him. Lord, you are the one and only that can’t heal us and we thank you for giving so many people the gift of medicine and healing so that you can do you work through them. Lord, you tell us that if we believe and are faithful to you that we will receive what we ask for in prayer. Lord, I lift up Ellen’s sister to you and ask that you take away her fear and help her to be strong so that she can support her husband in this time of the unknown.

Lord, I pray and ask that when the brother-in-law is able to return to work that you have a job already in place for him so that he can return to being the financial support for his family. Lord, I ask that you keep the marriage strong and the love for each other even stronger and all this is possible only through you.

Lord I faithfully pray this in your loving name! Amen

People usually do what is needed to be accepted by society rather then doing what is right and pleasing to God

I wish this process could be easier.  Society has said for so long that this should be unaccepted.  However, Gods word does not see it the same.  I pray that my family can see past society and see the importance of my happiness.  I just want them to realize that I have invested thought into this situation and haven't just jumped into something.   I just want them to be as excited as I am.  Maybe with time......

Thank you.  My problem is that I am a 40 year old woman that has been way too dependent on my family for too long.  Not financial but because I love and respect them I have always tried to think about their happiness before my own.  Now I'm starting a relationship with a wonderful man that I've known over 20 years.  I think we've denied feelings we had for each other so long because we knew there would be conflict.  I've prayed to God that if this is not the man for me that he would take away the desire to become that close to him.  It just seems that we've continued to become closer, especially over the last year and a half.  Again....because I've prayed I'm at peace.  I told him the other day that it wouldn't be easy but that to receive understanding we have to give understanding.  We are both praying about

it.
