I like to think of the millions of Christians working in secular environments as the church scattered. How do you think the church gathered can equip us best for being the church scattered? Do you as a Christian in the workplace feel supported as you endevour to witness and evangelise those around you? Do you get enough teaching and training on ethics, morals etc. from the church?
One area I would like more training and support on is introducing Christ to the family of young children. In the last work setting I was in we joined with others in providing a kids college with different activities. The parents were happy to send their kids and knew it was a community and church supported activity but more relunctant to attend plays and less comfortable talking about God. For some of the families that sat and talked with us, we found that they had not been raised in a Christian home and didn't know about God until they learned actual Christmas carols or walked into the various churches for a service. Worship which uplifted us was overwhelming to them. Any suggestions on books or materials to use here?
