Are there any situations that you need prayer for at work?  Any people that you would like the group to lift to God in prayer?

Yes, prayer is highly needed at work, we hv started small bible grp every thurs at our company during lunch break, short exhortation followed by prayer which is focus on the company and any work related issues(& some personal as well).
Do uphold us on this fellowship that more will attend and come to kow the loving nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. Do keep UTAC Ltd company on your prayers as well for wisdom, direction, profitability, customer favor, knowledge, understanding and of the fear of the Lord. Praise our God for raising up brethren whose heartbeat is focus upon the expansion of His Kingdom and using this technology to start a global prayer, may our God bless and keep you protected in Jesus name. All for His glory.
Do you want a specific need, or are you generally speaking?

I truly believe we should pray for Christians in general, especially at the workplace. Many times they face all manner of ridicule, and at times it's hard to share their faith. Other times they're given many strange names just for what they believe.
Beryl I was thinking of both specific and general.
I would like to offer a general prayer for those who are Christian in the workforce. I know that this world can be a competitive, fast paced and sometimes cruel and unforgiving place. In the midst of those aforementioned plights of struggle is the high amount of stress that being an employee and member of society brings along with it. I pray that the Christians in the workforce would be a light to those who are living in the darkness. I pray that God would be with us all as we interact with one another and provide us with strength as we cope with our own day to day struggles and hardships. In Jesus name, amen.
Joshua, what a lovely prayer. I know from my own experience how -- in the midst of chaos and stress-- how much even one small act of kindness can mean, to help break the chain and to inspire me to to pass that kindness along. Even when Christianity/faith aren't explicitly mentioned, I find most often that it was a Christian that was there to carry the Light.
I keep by my work desk the lyrics to Go Light Your World http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/c/chris_rice/go_light_your_world.html
which seem to embody your prayer.
Peace be with you

I ask prayers for K.T. who continues to anger people with unkind speech. Pray that she will realize how hurtful her words can be.
Please pray for T, who is being treated very unfairly by management on account of a complaint, but out of proportion to the offence, if you know what I mean. They are hounding other employees to report on conversations they've had with him, which is wicked, in my opinion. Please pray for management at this company that they will be more ethical in their dealings.
I would request my executives at my company to be lifted up in prayer - as all leaders worldwide - to make Godly decisions and be led by the Holy Spirit. I pray continually throughout the day - from my drive to and from work and during the day - silently. I pray that I can be a blessing to someone else and show Christ-likeness to others.
It is hard to be a professed Christian and work in the secular world, especially when the "church" is not geared around it. I've often met people who cannot attend services on Sunday mornings, and thus opt not to attend at all, because today's church does not cater to anyone who does not have Sunday's off. Many companies have work that goes on seven days a week, and the church is becoming much like the government and the healthcare system, that you have to take off from your work to earn a paycheck to attend services. Of course, one must understand that "real worship" begins the moment we step outside those four-walled monstrosities called "mega-churches" and into the real world where the lost truly are who are in need of Christ. It is there also where the Christian faith is truly tested in the individual when it comes to how someone will respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ, both saved and sinner. Are we going to be loving to that person who is lost and a sinner in this world, or are we going to respond in Jesus kind with words of hope and wisdom that can come only from the Father? Are we going to be the rude Christians that many think and see each week, or are we going to be the kind that offers that "cup of cold water" to a soul lost and alone with nowhere else to turn?

I pray that every Christian who attends a worship service today will walk outside that building with a renewed sense of Christ in their hearts, and the Holy Spirit's guiding that he or she may go into their week and see through God's eyes the lost and hurting souls that do not know Him, or are having a hard time in this life making things work. May God's Spirit be with them as they respond the way Jesus would have, and may they let this Spirit lead them in what they do and say.

"In Jesus' name may we all respond to the lost and hurting in our places of business the way He would have responded in kindness and hope that not a soul be lost to the dark forces of unbelief, but give hope to those who view life as hopeless, and true Life to those who do not know it. Amen!"
The people I work with, by & large, are good folks. This work "family" is like any family-- sometimes you agree and sometimes you don't but you all have to live together. Yet there are times when I overhear others deride being Christian (or an having any faith). This comes from people with whom I work closely. It's not as if I'm eavesdropping-- we work in adjacent cubicles and they speak loudly and sometimes rather insultingly about Christians. One was trying to convince another that it's foolish and misguided to believe in a Higher Power. I suppose it's their right to express their opinion-- it just feels awkward because they know I'm Christian. It doesn't change my faith. It just feels.... well awkward. We are also told not to proseletize.(so I can only witness via action) but isn't what they do proselitizing re:atheism? ... our agency periodically issues messages re: respecting diversity of ethnicity and various non-Christian beliefs. . It doesn't feel like Christians are always afforded the same. yes (thankfully) Christmas still is considered a holiday for which we're given time off, but it's not necessarily respected as a holy-day. Overall It's more the day to day considerations from co-workers. I wouldn't call it a "hostile" workplace but neither is it a supportive environment if you're openly Christian (beyond going to church on Sunday) . I know some other Christians have felt the same. I also am pretty certain that it would be counter-productive to bring this up as a Human Resources/job place issue. Seems to need a more personal approach. I need your prayers and God's help to handle this effectively with care and wisdom, especially since one of the people involved is my work partner. Thanks so much
In the workforce of our modern fast-paced day people see through the false gospel being preached every day by those who fail to know the Living God. If you go into the workplace spewing anything of what you may have learned from a sermon or a Bible study group, then you set yourself up for a downfall when those who are not saved, as you see it, see right through you and will more often than not tear you down to pieces for your belief and daring to share that belief with them. The best witness in the workforce is to live the Christian life from moment to moment not allowing the past nature of sin to enter into the new nature that you have been given through Christ. Sometimes our best witness is silence among those who do not know, nor even care. Sometimes silence is the best answer you can give a person who is seeking the One who came to deliver us and give us live more abundantly. You cannot argue a person into heaven for they will turn away faster than if you'd never shown up, and you cannot force or badger a person to salvation, because they will do no less than the same for their own cause. What turns most people away from the church and ultimately salvation is the way church members either intrude upon their lives or ignore those who are seeking the truth. Hey, let's live the "Christian life" out in front of them even in silence, but always praying for one another and our enemies in this world, and always staying in God's word every day meditating and learning to show His love outward to those who may be seeking His kingdom. May we get away from the "plastic Jesus" we've created for our own benefit over the generations and let God reign in our hearts once and for all. Then we will have made a step of faith towards the way, the truth, and the life that Jesus is.

First of all I would like to thank you for creating this group. I am working as a marketing consultant in Germany with clients from Germany but also from all over the world - Chine, Dubai, Brazil, USA and others.

The LORD is 'educating' me right now not to trust in anything else but HIM.

This leads of course to situations where I do not know early how to cover cost at the end of the month, although - starting from 1994 - HE nevver let me down. I always got what I needed in time.

Thus I would like to ask you to pray for me for strength in my belief, to stay calm, even if it's the 30th of a month and to trust more and more.

Yes, of course I trust but - having been a manager for a long time before starting my own business - I always tend to have funds available early enough to be sure for the future - short or long.

So strength in my belief and HIS words - in fact HE gave me all confirmations one could need ! - is needed nevertheless.

Thanks to all of you and HIS blessing to every reader and prayer.

Michael
