Words of 2011 and 2012

Dear Friends,

My word for 2011 was "illuminating." While I was nervous about one door, sharing my faith journey with those not receptive in the past, I realized that God's message was that it was not all about me. In his time and with the right words, he lead me in every situation to share as needed. My prayer time continues to develop, and God gave me the words to say and the means to comfort and support others. His word truly was a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

For 2012, my word is "wisdom." Teresa of Avila's 16th Century Prayer calls for all to be governed by the Lord's wisdom and to totally serve Him as He wills us to and not as we would choose to. God lead me and guided me in ways of service I could never imagine in 2011. Giving him my all and giving up control is hard for my comfort zone. I "will not let my heart be troubled" and will serve Him in 2012.

Hey there Rose.....

Actually...I was going to pick wisdom, but have also found another word in its place. You sure did pick a good word. We all need God's wisdom.

My word for 2011 was "humble". I do believe that there were times when I've been humble this past year. Doing things and not telling others of what I've done (good things that is). : ) Keeping my mouth shut when it needed to stay shut. Listening at meetings and taking it all in...only speaking when I needed to.

Humble is a hard thing to do....but when you are humble....people tend to see it.

My 2012 word is "seek". I plan on seeking everything I can about the Lord, thru His Word, thru other books, thru the Max Lacado community, thru blogs, thru the Stephen Ministry, thru anything and everything I can get my hands on. I will seek while doing anything and everything!!! This way...I can be more like Jesus and pay more attention to God and what He wants me to do.

Seek the Lord and His strength,

Seek His presence continually.

May 2012 be a very blessed year for all and for me to SEEK as much information as I can, so that I can use it in my walk of faith.

Hey Rosemarie.....didn't mean for this to come out twice.....thought I deleted one, but didn't manage to do it.
