Most of us know someone close to us who doesn't believe. It's hard especially when it's family and even harder if it's a spouse or a child. Share that burden here!

Close to Home

Most of us have family members or close friends who don't believe. It pains us that we don't seem to be able to get through to them. Some we have prayed for for years with no discernable fruit. Some we have all but given up on and we certainly don't bring up the subject anymore. Whatever your struggles or your successes you can share them here.

What has worked for you? Want prayer for a particular person (you don't even have to name them)? Persistant prayer is good but what about persistant questions and trying to get God into the conversation at every turn? What are your main worries about those who don't believe?

For those of you who are married to a non-believer... Do you feel pulled away from your faith or at least church activities? How do you cope with not being able to share the most important thing in your life with your spouse?

For those of us who have children... What things can we do to help our children believe? What things are a barrier to that belief? What role do other people within the church have to play? What about when they leave home what can we do to help keep them on the right path?

Mom's prayer line called last night and the person that helped out with the Southern Baptist Assoc here for so long, and a dear friend of hers, had hospice called in for him last night as well. She sat and cried and looked and me and smiled and said, he is going to fly. Godspeed and a soft landing!

In my prayers celebrating your returnto God's loving arms I will also keep the church in prayer and ask for forgivess for those times intentionally or not that the church becomes an instrument of hurt and forgets its focus.
