sorry it took me so long but i have been blogging for a couple months now and the only thing i can tell you is to be patient and people will begin to follow. As much as you can try and advertise it some other places.
God Bless

Anyone have experience with using treasure hunts as a means to evangelize and reach out?

Hello All,
We at First Church tried a new way of reaching out-baloon bouquets. For $6 at Dollar Tree we were provided with five balloons and a weight to tie them to. They went to the lobby of nursing homes for all to enjoy.
One other outreach we are looking at is blogging. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Mary Belle, That is awesome. I am so glad for the young lady who now has the means to study and grow in her knowledge of the Lord.

Heavenly Haven of Books and More opened up four months ago. The number is countless of the people that have come in so glad we finally have a Christian bookstore in our community.

In fact, we now have a young lady that has decided to get her life together and she comes in nearly every day to study with one of my helpers. We pick her up every Sunday for worship also. If it saves even one soul, it will make the bookstore worthwhile.

Blessings to you,
Our church secretary came up with a new idea for outreach called CHIME IN. People volunteered to take the newsletter to shut ins and care facilities. About 75 more contacts are made a month and people feel more connected.

Mary Belle,

Could you tell us more about the bookstore and your community? I feel this is an excellent outreach for churched and unchurched alike. Rose

That is awesome. I know my church does something like that. On sundays after church their is a retirement home right by and we go talk with them because sometimes they really have no visitors at all and we just go have conversations with them.
