We are called to reach out for Christ.

By showing Christ to all, in what we do and what we say in love,

being a Christian can be very attractive.

We become walking and talking evangelists.

Remember that God's power is displayed when we love all, even the unlovable.

That is why Jesus taught us to love our enemies.

That truely is the good news.

Let us allow God to chip away at the hard hearts that are out there.

We just need to use perfect love in all situations.

By doing that ALL fear of "evangelism" is cast aside.

God's embrace to you all,

Bob Smith

Thank you Bob for the reminder and the encouragement for us to go out and ebrace others in the way so that any hardened hearts can soften.
The additional joy we recieve by acting in love is that the power of God becomes evident in our lives and those around us.
Blessings always,
God's embrace to you all,

Bob, your words reminded me of two of my favorite quotes:
"Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you." ~Anonymous
"We cannot choose whom we will love if we claim to be Christians." ~Anonymous
AMEN!

Whenever it is my turn to prepare a devotional for our Adult Sunday School Assembly, I usually select two hymns to accompany it. When led to use this devotional to gently remind my audience of the importance of reaching out to others with the Good News, I often select "They will Know we are Christians By Our Love" and "I'll Tell the World That I'm a Christian" as a powerful pairing. Blessings, Jim
Hi Jim, I have heard the first hymn but not "Tell the world I'm a Christian" Where would I find the words and music?
Thanks, Rose
To: Rosemarie: Here are the lyrics. I've posted a video on my page where you can hear the tune. I'll see if I can find sheet music. Thanks for asking. Blessings, Jim

I'll tell the world, that I'm a Christian,
I'm not ashamed, His name to bear;
I'll tell the world, that I'm a Christian,
I'll take Him with me anywhere.

I'll tell the world, how Jesus saved me,
and how He gave me a life brand new;
And I know that if you trust Him,
that all He gave me, He'll give to you.

I'll tell the world, that He's my Saviour,
No other one, could love me so;
My life, my all is His forever,
and where He leads me I will go.

For when He comes, and life is over,
For those who love Him there's more to be;
Eyes have never seen the wonders,
That He's preparing, for you and me

Oh, tell the world, that you're a Christian,
Be not ashamed, His name to bear;
Oh tell the world, that you're a Christian,
And take Him with you anywhere.

Jim, thank you for the hymn. One devotional tool I've developed for use with classes is to take a hymn and make it a responsive reading. It helps us to reflect on the hymns and the message within each one.
Thank you for the suggestion. There are many wonderful hymns with wonderful messages. I can definitely picture that at work. Blessings, Jim
