I so much need prayer. I've been out of work for over a year. I got fired for helping a coworker who was discriminated against turn in a Director. Instead of taking my money from my 401k to go to school or learn a trade I used it and tought God will help me find a job. I look everyday. I've applied for 100s of jobs on line. I've tried cleaning houses but I don't get any work. I'm over 50 and I feel it holds me back. I pray everyday that God will help me find a job. I think God has forgotten me.
I need prayer to help me keep my Faith.
I need prayer to help me get a job.
I haven't been here for a long time. Please pray for me.
May God bless all those in need.

Len and I were both out of work when we were in our early 40s and we couldn't get work in that time for the same reason. As with us, God is using this time as a time of learning. You may not think so now, but your experiences now can help you in the future. I think you know that Len and I work in Ukraine with disadvantaged children and families. Because we are Brits people think we are rich and have it made, but we can tell people we help that we know what it's like, we've been there, done it and worn the T shirt.
I am not saying that he wants you to do what we're doing, but ALL experience helps in His work. It may not be for a long time. It was nearly 15 years later before He gave us a calling, whatever that is. I'll pray for you that you can find work. Do you have work agencies over there, both of us booked into three different agencies. The work was only bits and pieces, but it kept us going. We still had three kids at school at the time and needed every penny we could get. What Len did was put a CV in every place where he knew he could work within a 10 mile radius. Len has just come in and said that on your CV put down anything you can do, and I mean anything. It must have been at least 18 months later when he got a phone call asking him if he still needed work. One of Len's skills was working with and repairing Fork Lift Trucks. The ware house needed someone who could repair them, but only on a temporary basis. He took the job and they later took him on perminantly. Never expect God to make everything drop in your lap. Len got 6K in reduncy payment, we used it very sparingly, but if it's gone it's gone. Will keep you in our prayers.
Oh Holy Father I know you hear my brothers plea so I ask O Mighty one that you would help my brother out in his time of need and help him to stay strong and know that you hear him and have a plan to prosper him in this new year.
I pray o Holy Father that you would bless him indeed and enlarge his territory and keep him from the evils of this world.

Mark, please do not give up on God, but listen all the harder for the Holy Spirit in you. Ask Him to guide you.
For the last 4 years, my husband, who is now over 50, has been in and out of work. We had kids who needed our help and family as well. Our 401K is long gone, but one day at a time God has gotten us through. While others have lost everything, we have not, though there were times of doubt that we had to fight with faith. Always in time the money has come from somewhere. We know what Dwayne's purpose is and made the decision to start our own business. We are just now getting some traction forward. As hard as it seems, gratitude for God in all things is the key. If Dwayne had not gotten so fed up with things, he would not have walked out of his last job. Had he not walked out, he would not being fulfilling the purpose God showed him. Once we learn what a lesson is meant to teach, we move onward. Grateful? Oh, yes. Working as an IT executive on proposals for 365 days a year for 10-22 hour days was killing my husband. He is alive because God made the changes he was too tired and busy to see. Our marriage is also healing from the lack of time together. We have much to give thanks for.
Mark, look and see what blessings you have to be thankful for and give God thanksgiving. Think outside the box to find your purpose and path to it. John Maxwell and Max Lucado have both said that in your passion is often where you will find your purpose. What are you passionate about?
I pray our tale gives you encouragement. This prayer group came into my life at the time I needed it most, so I think you too have been guided to this wonderful prayer family. May God's peace and comfort be yours and may He guide you.
Blessings.
Permalink Reply by Beth Ann Cain on March 23, 2012 at 10:24am Thanks Beth Ann I haven't been here in a while either. My unemployment is over and I hven't got a real income. I believe that God can do anything if you have faith and I think He will lead me in the right direction. With God there is never a "never, can't or impossible". All things are possible.
Thank you for your prayers.
Mark
