One of the times I recall is in the spring/summertime getting up early and sitting on the porch and reading and reflecting on God's word. I felt very calm and at peace. The only sounds are from nature and I just relax and enjoy the quiet and silence. After doing  this, I feel rejuvenated and ready to begin my day.

Always when I'm outside on the porch, generally around sunset, listening to the sounds of nature and reveling in the sights of God's creation. This is my alone time, my time for meditation, just me, God and his beautiful creatures. I feel so close to God and I'm so at peace. It's amazing and I'm so blessed.
When I am listening to praise music, reading my bible. It helps to keep me focused upon God's goodness.
I feel closest to God when I am reading or watching 'church' on TV while he uses people to talk to me. I also feel closes to him when I am in prayer and tears are falling from my eyes. Thats also when I think I really feel his presence. As a mother, if my child were crying, I would hold them really close, so I know my father does that for me!
i feel closest to God when i am listening to worship music or looking at my 2year old daughter playing with her 9 year old brother. sometimes its in the way they laugh or the way they tell each other good night and i love you. sometimes its how my husband expresses his faith in God. all this are tiny moments in life that remind me about my father in heaven and how he wants me to be.
God bless you
My dear that's true. For me when i look at how the heaven stands without a visible pillar,How a lot of times i get close to situations that would have brought shame or even killed me but God showed up, when i'm not sure of the next meal n he just supplies in quntum, when you all hope is gone he just shows up. Some times i just wish i have somthing he just brings even those silent wishes to pass, i can't just know dat he's closest to me than i ever know.
The times I feel closest to God is when I take that perfect photograph. The one where you feel Him say, "Not yet. Wait. Now." The one that you know is special as soon as you click the shutter. Then you see the print and you can sense God's thumbprint in it. The one where people tell you wonderful things but you have to tell them, "God did all the work. He just had me push the button." Childlike faith is difficult to define, but He allowed me to capture it for my church. There are other times I feel close to God. These times are when I feel we are closest. Blessings, Jim

What a great picture Jim and thank you so much for sharing it! The beauty in seeing God through a child is wonderful thing to witness!

Many blessings to you!

You are right seeing God through a child's eyes is a wonderful blessing. In fact, my next blog, which I hope to post April 9th, will be about just such an experience I recently had. Blessings, Jim

In the strongest of any kind of weather, but for me especially, in the middle of a roaring, booming thunderstorm. The strength in the weather that hits us is just a small sign of the strength of the one that loves us and wants us near.
