Please pray for my pastor Rick C. I received this e-mail this morning:
Would you please keep Pastor Rick and his family in your prayers morning and night. I know most of you already do that but would like to make sure we all are. The only specifics are that as our church grows he is under attack more as the devil doesn’t like a spiritually healthy church.
Thanks,
Rose

Jeffrey,
God will take a disaster such as Haiti and it will work for his kingdom as more are helped and others see they hearts and hands of Christ helping them.
we can not always understand things that happen in life. god is always in control, but his love is so great for us. he hates when we sin but he still loves us when we repent. His son showed us the greatest love ever for us by dying for our sins. When we show others love we please him greatly, his compassion for us is awesome, so we must go out and be compassionate for others. While the tragedy in Haiti is hard to deal with and understand, the response of the christian organizations in this country have been a great reflection of God's love to help those in such great need,

"God is love." God gave us the greatest valentine-his son.

Isn't that what makes God amazing?! He defines love in a way that we cannot fully understand. I think this is why so many of us doubt His love and think that we have done something that warrants the loss of His love. The reality is that this is not possible. "Human" love functions this way, but God's love does not. Wouldn't it be great if we could love like God does? Oh how the world would be different...

Devo of the day from Max:
God’s Love“God is love.” I John 4:16
The supreme surprise of God’s love? It has nothing to do with you. Others love you because of you, because your dimples dip when you smile or your rhetoric charms when you flirt. Some people love you because of you. Not God. He loves you because he is he. He loves you because he decides to. Self-generated, uncaused, and spontaneous, his constant–level love depends on his choice to give it. “The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you” (Deut. 7:7-8 NIV).
You don’t influence God’s love. You can’t impact the treeness of a tree, the skyness of the sky, or the rockness of a rock. Nor can you affect the love of God.
