They are everywhere!!!   There is this one claiming that the Beginning of the End of Times is may 21, 2011.  And there are some people that are actually quitting their jobs and selling their belongings because they believe they will be called on this date.  Why are they so blind?  Don't they read the Bible?  This  has blowed me away, stunned... IF they were close to God, they would see?....

It's just like it says in II Timothy 4:3-4...

3 For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.

Blessings, Jim

The Bible says that when He was asked when the beginning of the birth pangs would begin He said 'The time and day I do not know for the Father has not revealed it to me.'  What makes this man in America think he is more important than Jesus in the the Father has revealed it to him.  Also if people believe him why are they selling their goods, they won't need money in heaven so they should be giving it away, not selling it.
I have asked my self this question:  If tomorrow is the End of the World,  What would i do different from my daily life?   I would not change anything from what i do daily.  I greet God every morning and we have our daily talk in the evening when i retire.  I know deep down to trust God with my Heart and Soul.  He knows me better than me, therefore i must and do what God has in store for me.  I'm not perfect, i still have problems that i have to work out like any or all humans.  We are like God's childrens, we learn as we go.  Therefore, If  I was granted to change or do any thing different it would be having all my kids and grandkids together for that last meal together praising God.

Hi Debbie,

I must admit I wasn't even aware of this silly thing until this afternoon at around 4:00 pm. My 2 teenage kids and I went to our local Ice Cream Parlor and while sitting there enjoying our goodies they began to talk about it.

They didn't believe it of course, and neither did I, but it did give us the opportunity to open a discussion about what the Bible, and in particular, what Jesus said about what many call the rapture when Jesus will come back to take us with Him to heaven, and that He told us that we are not to know when, or worry about when because that was only known by and up to God the Father. Our only worry should be is to be ready "whenever" that time comes.. Period! Just be ready.

We did play a "What if" game; We shared what we each would do "If" it were true, and realized that there would be a struggle to decide what we would or should do with a few remaining hours. They ranged between doing something absolutely outragious to simply making sure we tell everyone we love..that we love them. It also gave us the opportunity to put our lives and what we do with our time into perspective.

We spent the next 2 hours...(the count-down to 6:00 when the End of Time was supposed to happen)  going to the park, watching the little minnows swim around, throwing rocks at an alligator that turned out to be a stick (smile), and just generally enjoying each others company.  It was a lovely day and of course 6:00 o'clock came and went and we were still here...No "End of Time" came. but if it had..it was exactly the way I would have wished it to be.

A friend of mine in England said he wasn't gonna bother mowing the lawn as he wouldn't be here today.  After 6pm he said, 'Oh well, I'm obviously not good enough, I supposed I'd better get out there and cut the grass.'

Jesus also said it would come like a thief in the night.  Have you ever heard of a thief sending you a post card to say when he was going to come and break into your house.

      scripture tells us that there will be many prophets saying that they are here on Gods be half and that we should prepare for the end of the world. I say that if we continue and/or begin to faithfully read our Bibles everyday, and we continue to pray to God for guidence and forgivness and we bind out lives to the ten commandments we have nothing to worry about when we hear people talking about the end is coming, or God is taking all the christians away on such in such date.

      I think the May 21 prediction should how ever be a good wake up call to all christians young and old all over the world and begin to look closely to our own lives and check to see how pure our hearts are and just how real our faith is to God.

Mark 13:32-37

“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”

By the way Jim, my friend was being sarcastic when he said about cutting the grass.  He no more expected it to happen than I did.  I had a few priest friends in England say 'Now is it worth me preparing a sermon for Sunday.  I'm so fantastic I'm bound to be taken so won't need to preach.'  Not sure where you're from Jim, but I'm afraid that us in England can be very sarcastic about things like this.
