Not sure I'm officially allowed here as I'm just a photographer. I do, however, appreciate art and was drawn in by the magnificent Vincent video.

Andrea, Ronny & Haelie,

Wow...

Thanks for the insightful comments. I have been really busy lately but I would like to address the points that each one has made later this week.

The insiration behind the painting was to illustrate how each of us is pure spirit. We live in a fleshly body but because of our relationship wih God, we are pure spirit and eternally alive through the message of Christ Jesus.

More later...........

blessings,

Jim

btw...Andrea...the media was oil.

Hello James - thought I might comment on the painting - I have had to look at it a few times and think about the question. And I guess what I'm thinking is, just as the Spirit watched over Christ's birth, it watches over all births. All life is precious, and the world has forgotten that, pretending that babies aren't really alive until they're out of the womb, so that for convenience people can murder their children because they're in the way. And I think that the dove and the star shining in the darkness are a good reminder that every little life is coming into a very dark world, with only God's light to see them through. (Don't know if that's what you meant - have had people analyse my poetry in the past and come up with all sorts of stuff that I never considered at all!) BTW - it's a beautiful painting, you're very talented.

I want to know your thinking behind this as you were "painting?" it. What media was used?
I see the Holy Spirit(dove) opening the womb to give birth. But, not sure what the sac around the baby represents. The blackness around the whole picture represents the sin the child (Jesus) was born into. The light "cross" God. I may be totally off as to what you asked. Let me know.

Thanks Brenda and welcome to the group. You're right that God has given all of us the unique ability to be creative.

In that case, Everyone here at MLC should become part of this site because we all are artists in one sense or another:-)

Blessings,
