Good manners grow naturally in the people who are trying to follow Jesus's example. As His nature grows withing us, the selfish nature with which we were born begins to go into the background. Our attitudes toward others change along with our behaviors. Some of us are so full of ourselves that we cannot see nothing but ourselves.  When self fills our vision, we do not see Jesus. It is time  for us to turn our eyes to Jesus. And see if  we don't feel transported from the cross we have been bearing to His throne in heaven.

Hi Lorraine,
Your words reminded me of Luke 6:43-45

"No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

To be a follower of Jesus Christ is to allow Him to reveal all the things we must change about ourselves. As the scriptures say we are to come with a "broken spirit and a contrite heart".

Psalm 51:17
The sacrifices of God are [a] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,

I agree with you we all need to take a good look at ourselves in the mirror because the reflection we should see is of our Father.

Have a blessed one!
