Prayer is the sum of our relationship with God. We are what we pray. The degree of our faith is the degree of our prayer.  Our prayers has a beginning because we have a beginning. So do you agree that prayer never ends?

I think human prayer will not end while we are living on this planet. However, it will end when we are face to face with God in eternity. It would be a far more different kind of relationship then (hence, a different kind of communication). We would no longer be burdened with this imperfect, sinful, and fallen nature. I truly don’t know what ‘kind’ of body we will have there. All we have is our Lord Jesus’ resurrected body as an example. But how He relates to God the Father, His brethren the saints, and the holy angels is a mystery to us at this point. What kind language will we use? Will we use verbal expressions? Mental thoughts? Physical gestures, etc., etc. I am now seeking the Scripture (as well as analyzing other believers’ views) about these very same questions. I find it fascinating to be able to answer them – in light of eternity. After all, that’s where we will spend the next never-ending life! Yes, we will have to pray to God for a lot of things down here. Nonetheless, I pray to God that He show us the answers to these specifics - here and now. Fascinating indeed! Thanks Lorraine. God’s grace and His peace stay on you and your loved ones.

Our very lives are living prayers or offerings to God. Prayer never ends because it will live on through the lives of our children and grandchildren until that final day.

Prayer like love is an action word. Doing things like listening, being there for another person in need is the living prayers the Bible talks about. Lets be careful not to judge our faith or character by the amount of silent prayers we offer up. Remember....God knows each heart that is His.

Live right before God and mankind and your life becomes a living prayer.

Our prayers should never end. They end if we choose them to end. God wants a personel relationship with each of us I believe. Prayer can be very simple. It is as personal as any communication can get. Whether the prayer is one of praise, love, desperation, loss, thanks,or a plead for guidance. Prayer must come from our hearts. I have found that my prayers many times when I am unsure of the "words" I want to say...that simple is better. Straight to the point.
God's mercies are new each day. I thank God for that everyday and that is a prayer. I stop in traffic and notice how beautiful the sunset is and tell God, thank you Lord for your beautiful creations.
I get on my knees and ask God to help all the hurting children of the world. Prayer is our strongest weapon in the Spiritual Warfare going on today.
Will our prayers end when we get to heaven, or will they just change a little? We won't be weak as we are now, but we will always need Him.
I Thessalonians 5:17 reminds us to "pray without ceasing". So, while we are here on the Earth, prayer is a vital part of the believer's way of life. I am of the opinion that once we get to heaven the mandate will change. Instead of "pray without ceasing" it will be "praise without ceasing". Blessings, Jim
This makes a lot of sense, thank you! I think the praise without ceasing is a wonderful way of putting it, but I think that we will still pray some too.
