Prayer needed

Jesus told us we were to "love our enemies". We find ourselves in a situation where someone we thought was a friend has become an enemy with the intention of doing all he can to make our lives miserable and to ruin our credit rating in the process. He has become so irrational that it is impossible to discuss the situation; he simply resorts to name calling and lies to anyone who will listen. I am a strong believer in prayer -- although many times the answer is not what I would have preferred. Please lift my husband and me up to the Lord asking for a peaceful resolution to this situation and lift me up to have a forgiving heart. I am finding it very difficult to love my enemy.
