God in our shoes

     I am currently reading Max Lucado's "Learning to have a heart like his". Max starts out chapter one with a very deep and rather scary question for us to ponder.

    What if God was you for 24 hours? What if God slept in your bed? What if God got up in the morning and put on your clothes and shoes? What if your boss was God's boss? What if your mom was God's mom?

    What if God did the exact same things you do in a typical 24 hour period of your life. What would God have to indure? What sin's would God commit?

    I had a hard time moving past those first few paragraph's and i sat and wondered what my life style would do to God if he became me for 24 hours. I know that God see's what we do and hears what we say but to think that God would have to indure some of the ugliness of todays sociaty truely breaks my heart.
