Erwin McManus once said
"The God of light insists on traveling into dark places; the God of peace continuously involves Himself in the wars of men; the God who is good engages the depth of human evil. To follow Jesus is to enter the unknown, to relinquish security, and to exchange certainty for confidence in Him".
How do you live your lives? Do you go to church each Sunday and listen to the sermon and then walk out the door and you go right back to your normal, doing just what you need to do to appear that you are a christian lives. Do you continue to think you are in total control of your every day to day journey? Do you continue to worry and fret over any and all bad news that comes your way. Do you sit down and pray and then you become frustrated because you don't feel God is working fast enough on your problems and not taking in consideration all the other people in the world that is asking God to do something for them?
I would safely say that every person that reads this will say yes to every question listed above. I know that i am guilty of every situation listed above. God wants us to stop what we are doing just long enough to acknowlege his existance and to surrender all control of our lives to him. God wants us to praise him when we receive good news, or a new job! God wants us to lean on him and place our fears on his shoulders when we receive bad news or we loose someone close to us! We can not and never will be able to successfully live our lives with out God at the helm.
I know of a lot of people that feel that they are doing just fine without God in their lives and thay have a lot of money and life seem good to them. Peolpe like that or merely surviving!
People that believe and depend on God will find them selves struggling alot at times and then they will have times of total success and then back to stuggling. People like that are living because they have God in there lives and will alway have someone to support them when times are tough.
I don't know about you but i want to live. Take time out of your busy lives and smell the roses that God created. I guarantee you that God will be at that rose bush and you will hear his amazing voice saying, "you are my child and i will protect you". Surrender to God and if its not today make it a point to do so very soon and begin to live and not survive.

I totally agree, too many Christians think that going to church makes you a Christian. Well going to McDonalds doesn't make you a hamburger! It takes work, God provided us with the greatest book ever, the bible. In that book we have all the instructions we need to live our life's. I love my heavenly Father so much, He has brought me through so much and I have learned to praise Him when the bad comes and praise Him when the good comes, He loves to be praised! If we would just look at God as our Father, and realize that just like our human father He wants what is best for us, the great thing is, He already knows what is best for us and has already made a plan for our life's if we would just follow it. Being a Christian, a child of God, is a process. We need to get beyond the milk and start eating meat. It won't always be easy, but my goodness Paul did it time after time, what a wonderful example for us to try to emulate. Every morning, ask God what you can do for Him today, you will be surprised at how your day ends.
God Bless you Always,
Diane
